ARLINGTON, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Arlington downed Iroquois/Doland 63-29 to open the Boys Region 3B Monday night.
Two Cardinals scored in double figures led by Ryker Erstad with 27 points on 10 of 19 shooting from the field, three of eight from three point land and four of seven from the charity stripe. Chris Wallace added 15 points on seven of 10 shooting from the field, grabbed eight boards and stole the ball three times.
Justin Bice and Tobias Arbiter would lead the Chiefs with seven points each. Bice would grab 10 boards.
Iroquois/Doland ends their season with a record of 0-20.
Also in the Boys Region 3B opening round game saw Hitchcock/Tulare end the season of Lake Preston 62-57.
Jasper Denison ended the night with 22 points and eight boards, Carter Malone tallied 19 points and nabbed nine boards for the Divers.
Jackson Maynard led the Patriots with 19 points.
Lake Preston ends their season with a record of 7-13.
The other Boys Region 3B game saw Estelline/Hendricks down James Valley Christian 72-52. No statistics were reported from that game. JVC ends their year with a record of 2-18.
On tap for tonight in the Boys 3B, The one seed DeSmet will host the nine seed Hitchcock/Tulare at 7 p.m. Brent Nathaniel will have coverage on New Country KS93 and GoWatertown.net. The five-seed Castlewood will travel to the four-seed Wolsey-Wessington for a 7 p.m. tip. The two-seed Wessington Spring will host the seven-seed Estelline/Hendricks at 7 p.m. In White, the three seed Deubrook Area will take on the six seed Arlington at 7 p.m.
