Baloun signs with SDSU

BROOKINGS, S.D. (GoJacks.com) — Max Baloun, a 6-6, 222 pound, defensive end from Redfield has signed with South Dakota State.

Baloun earned all-state recognition and was an honorable mention selection to the Sioux Falls Argus Leader Elite 45 during his senior season at Redfield High School. He recorded 25 total tackles, including 10.5 tackles for loss and 3 sacks in receiving all-Northeast Conference honors for a third time.

Baloun also has been an all-conference performer in basketball. He plans to major in education.

Baloun is one of nineteen high school standouts and six other prep standouts that signed a National Letter of Intent Wednesday to compete for the Jackrabbits’ football team.
