WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Girls basketball will dominate the talk across South Dakota Thursday night.

The Girls B SoDak 16 will take place across the state tonight.  In Madison at 7 p.m. will feature the five seed Howard facing the twelve seed Viborg-Hurley.  Gettysburg will play host to the eight seed Castlewood facing the nine seed New Underwood at 6 p.m.  That game will be broadcast on 96.9 KDLO.  Fort Pierre will host two games beginning at 5:30 p.m. with the four seed Faulkton facing the thirteen seed Newell.  The 7 p.m. game will pit the three seed Faith vs the fourteen seed Kimball/White Like.  The Huron Arena will also host two games tonight beginning at 6 p.m. with the six seed Langford vs the eleven seed Irene-Wakonda.  The 7:30 p.m. match up will pit the two seed Ethan vs the fifteen seed Waverly-South Shore.  That game will be broadcast on 950 KWAT.  The Corn Palace will host two games begining at 6 p.m. with the seven seed De Smet facing the ten seed White River.  Game will be broadcast on 104.3 KKSD.  The 7:30 p.m. game will see the one seed Corsica-Stickney vs the sixteen seed Highmore-Harold.

Winners of the Girls B SoDak 16 games will head to the state tournament March 12-14 in Spearfish.

Girls Class A Region finals will also take place tonight across the state.  Locally in 2A the one seed Hamlin will face the four seed Clark/Willow Lake at 7 p.m. at the Hamlin Education Center.  Game will be broadcast on New Country KS93.  The other Region 2A final will see the two seed and host Flandreau vs the three seed Florence/Henry at 7 p.m.

In the Region 1A at 7 p.m. host Aberdeen Roncalli will face Webster.  Two seed and host Redfield will face the three seed Sisseton at 7 p.m.

Winners in the Class A region games will move on to the SoDak 16 to be played March 9th across South Dakota.
