Authorities release name of man killed in South Dakota motorcycle crash

HOT SPRINGS, S.D.–Authorities have identified a motorcyclist killed in southwestern South Dakota when his cycle was struck by a car.

Thirty seven year-old Michael Rowland of Pasco, Washington died in the crash last Friday night on U.S. Highway 385, just over a mile north of Hot Springs.

Rowland was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene.

The driver of the car sustained serious injuries. Three passengers had minor injuries.
