Authorities investigate mailbox vandalism in Volga

VOLGA, S.D.–The Brookings County Sheriff’s Department is investigating vandalism to mailboxes in Volga.
It happened between the afternoon of July 1st and the morning of July 3rd.
A group mailbox was struck by a vehicle causing an estimated $1,300 damage.
The vehicle fled the scene.
