Arrows take fifth at state AA meet

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Watertown Arrow girls tennis came away with a fifth place finish at the Class AA meet.
As a team the Arrows accumulated 303 points. Sioux Falls Lincoln took the team title with a 505.
In fight one , Megan Fannin took home a fourth place finish falling to Sioux Falls Roosevelt’s Avery Summers, 8-3.
In flight two, Megan Hauger took home third place defeating Brandon Valley’s Annabelle Schultz 8-5.
In flight three, Raeanna Zink also took home third place by defeating Sioux Falls Washington’s Rylie Nesheim, 9-7.
In flight four, Sadie Moran fell to Mary Allen of Rapid City Stevens in the consolation finals, 8-3.
In fight five, Josie Heyn took third place by defeating Brandon Valley’s Marie Pelletier, 8-4.
In doubles flight one, Megan Fannin and Megan Hauger took home third place by defeating the team of Tanna Lehfeldt/Annabelle Schultz of Brandon Valley, 8-5.
In doubles fight two, the team of Sadie Moran and Raeanna Zink fell in the consolation finals to the team of Taylor Olson/Abigail Mayer of Sioux Falls Washington, 8-3.
In doubles flight three, the team of Josie Heyn and Ellie Zink fell in the consolation finals to the team of Grace Abadallah/Sydney Breit of Sioux Falls O’Gorman, 9-7.
The Arrows will graduate three seniors from the roster, Megan Fannin, Megan Hauger and Reanna Zink.
