Arrows split games at Brandon on Saturday

BRANDON, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The Watertown Arrow basketball teams split their doubleheaders at Brandon Valley on Saturday.

The boys would come away with a 50-46 victory over the Lynx. Cooper Heiser led the scoring attack with 16 points, going a perfect four of four from the line. Evan Falconer would add 13 points, going five of six from the charity stripe.

Brandon Valley would be led by Joe Kolbeck with ten.

The Lynx would shoot 37 percent from the field compared to the Arrows 29 percent. However, the Arrows would get it done at the line shooting 83 percent to the Lynx 53 percent.

On the girls side, Brandon Valley would defeat Watertown 52-37.

Watertown would be led by Maggie Heesch with 13 points, going five of nine from the line and grabbing five boards. Megan Fannin would contribute 11 points on the night.

Emma Jarovski and Hilary Behrens would each score 14 points to lead the Lynx.

The Arrow girls (3-16) wrap up their regular season February 28th at Huron. The Arrow boys (9-9) remain home February 27th to face Marshall, Minnesota before wrapping up their year at Huron February 28th. Todd Enderson will have coverage on 950 KWAT at GoWatertown.net.
