WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The Watertown Arrow basketball teams would split their doubleheader with Harrisburg Friday night with the boys coming away victorious 35-34 but the girls falling to the Tigers 52-40.

Brandon Smith would lead the Arrow boys with 11 points, eight boards and going a perfect 4 of 4 from the line.  Evan Falconer contribute seven and Dawson Schmidt would add six. The Arrows would shoot 35% from the field compared to Harrisburg’s 27%.

On the girls side Maggie Heesch and Megan Fannin would each lead the way with 13 points. Heesch would grab seven boards and Fannin would be a perfect eight of eight from the charity stripe.  Harrisburg would shoot 48% from the field compared to Watertown’s 26%.

The Watertown girls (0-10) will travel to Marshall, Minnesota on Saturday for a 7:15 p.m. tip on 950 KWAT and GoWatertown.net.  Watertown boys (5-6) are off till February 4th when they remain at home to face Sioux Falls Roosevelt. Game will also be broadcast on 950 KWAT and GoWatertown.net.
