Arrows sit in third after day one of AA tennis tournament

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — All five Watertown Arrows survived day one of the Girls Class AA Tennis Tournament.
The Arrows as a team are in third place with 244 points. Sioux Falls Lincoln leads the way with 282.5.
In flight one, Megan Fannin defeated Sage Barnard of Sioux Falls O’Gorman in the quarterfinals, 10-4.
In flight two, Megan Hauger defeated Abbey Dehler of Rapid City Stevens, 10-3 in the quarterfinals.
In flight three, Raeanna Zink downed Harrisburg’s Emily Hanson in quarterfinal action, 10-7
In flight four, Sadie Moran downed Cordelia Raforth of Rapid City Central, 10-2 in round one. Moran lost to Brandon Valley’s Addy Jackson in quarterfinal action, 10-2. Moran defeated Paige Foster of Brookings in the consolation quarterfinals, 8-0.
In flight five, Josie Heyn defeated Ainsley Shelsta of Brookings 10-2. Heyn would down Jennifer Appl of Aberdeen in the quarterfinal round, 10-2.
The tournament will conclude today at Match Pointe and Great Life in Sioux Falls beginning at 8 a.m. Singles championship finals are scheduled first, followed by the doubles championships.
