Arrow basketball teams have setback vs Aberdeen

WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The Watertown Arrow girls and boys basketball would both fall at the hands of Aberdeen Central on Tuesday night.

Girls would fall 56-27. Arrows were led by Maggie Heesch and Megan Fannin each with seven points. Heesch would grab seven boards and go five of seven from the charity stripe.

Arrows would have a tough night finding the hoop shooting 29% from inside the stripe and would be outscored 35-6 in the second half.

Arrow boys would also fall to Aberdeen 62-51. Dawson Schmidt would be the leading scorer for Watertown with 17 points and Evan Falconer would add 10. Brandon Smith would grab five boards.

Watertown boys (3-5) and girls (0-9) will face Mitchell on Friday. Boys will travel to the Kernels for a 7 p.m. on 950 KWAT and the girls will host Mitchell at the Civic Arena, also at 7 p.m. on New Country KS93.
