Arrows have setback at Rapid City Stevens

RAPID CITY, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The Watertown Arrow boys and girls basketball teams would both struggle at Rapid City Stevens on Saturday with the guys falling 69-29 and the girls 68-39.

Dawson Schmidt would be the only Arrow guy to score in double figures with 11 points for the afternoon and 3 of 6 from three point land.  As a team, Watertown would shoot 18% from inside the arc and 26% from beyond the arc.

The Arrow girls were led by Maggie Heesch with 13 points, going 6 of 11 from the charity stripe and grabbing five boards.

The Watertown girls (0-5) come home Tuesday night to face West Central at 7 p.m.  The Arrow guys (2-3) are off till Friday when they face Sioux Falls Christian at 7 p.m at Watertown Civic Arena.  Both games will be broadcast on 950 KWAT with video at GoWatertown.net.
