WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — It was a battle of the top two teams in the state Tuesday night as the number one Watertown Arrows fell to the number two Sioux Falls O’Gorman Knights 3-2.  Set scores of 24-26, 27-25, 25-23, 15-25, 10-15.

Sophie Tietz would lead the way from the serving line going 21 of 24 with four aces, Siri Kranz 16 of 16 with two aces and Alexx Bayles 15 of 15 with one ace.

Maggie Heesch would lead the way on the attack with 12 kills, Meghan Heeglund with 11 and Tietz and McKenzie Buisker each with 10.

Defensively, Jaydn Hoftiezer would lead the way with 11 digs, Kranz with nine and Bayles with six.

The lower levels would split with JV (25-12, 25-11) Sophomores (25-20, 25-19) getting wins and Freshman A (21-25, 16-25) and Freshman B (16-25, 23-25) falling to the Knights.

The Arrows are now 23-2 and head to Aberdeen on Thursday to wrap up the regular season with a 7 p.m. first serve.  Todd Enderson will have coverage on 950 KWAT and GoWatertown.net.
