Arrows come away with win in battle of top ranked teams

WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — It was a battle of top ranked teams in Class AA Tuesday night at the Civic Arena as number one Watertown downed number three Huron 3-1.  Set scores of 17-25, 25-18- 25-20, 25-19.

Alexx Johnson lead the way serving going 19 of 19 from the line with three aces, Jadyn Hoftiezer 13 of 13 with three aces and Alexx Bayles 12 of 14 with two aces.

On the attack Sophie Tietz would lead the way with 11 kills.  Mckenzie Buisker, Maggie Heesch and Meghan Heggelund would each tally nine kills on the night.

Defensively, Bayles would account for 13 digs in 13 attempts and Kranz 16 digs in 18 attempts.

In the lower levels, Arrow JV (25-8, 25-14) would come away with the lone win.  Sophomores (16-25, 27-25, 12-15), Freshman A (25-27, 19-25) and Freshman B (14-25, 25-21, 16-14) would all fall to the Tigers.
