Arrows blank rival Brookings

WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Watertown Arrow boys and girls soccer would each blank rival Brookings Tuesday night at the Anza Soccer Complex.

The Arrow girls opened the night with a 4-0 victory and the boys closed the night with a 6-0 win.

For the boys, Hunter Mitchell would lead the way with four goals.  Jaxson Fiechtner and Alex Kowalski would also add one goal each. Jaxson Fiechtner would tally three assists. In net, Alex Hanson would have eight saves.  The Arrows would take 22 shots on goal.

Sophie Kannas would lead the girls squad with two goals.  Gracie Cole added a goal and an assist and Hannah Walburg contributed one goal.  Isabella Kerkvliet and Regan Campbell would each tally and assist.  In net, Tierney Hodorff pitched the shutout with zero goals against and zero saves.

Watertown boys (1-0) and girls (1-1) soccer travels to Aberdeen for a doubleheader August 25th. Boys game at 4, girls at 6 p.m.
