Arrow girls and guys come away with doubleheader victory at Brookings

BROOKINGS, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The Watertown Arrow boys and girls basketball teams would each come away with victories during rivalry night at Brookings on Friday.

The Arrow boys would defeat the Bobcats 54-49.

Evan Falconer would lead the scoring attack for Watertown with 15 points, going 5 of 15 from the field and grabbing four boards. Dawson Schmidt and Drew Norberg would each contribute 11. Schmidt would grab five boards and Norberg would go three of four from three point land.

Nick Schefers would lead the Bobcats with 29 points.

The Arrow girls would claim their first victory of the season against Brookings, 59-42.

Megan Fannin would lead all scoring with 26 points, going 10 of 17 from the field and 3 of 6 from beyond the arc. Maggie Heesch would add 12 points and 9 boards. Devyn Keller would contribute six points and six boards.

Johanna Miller would lead the Bobcats with 19 points.

The Watertown girls (1-13) travel to Yankton on Thursday, February 13th. The Arrow boys (6-7) remain home to face number one Yankton on Friday, February 14th. Both games will be broadcast on 950 KWAT and GoWatertown.net.
