Arrow dance and cheer take home fourth place finishes at Aberdeen Invite

ABERDEEN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Watertown cheer and dance would take away a good showing at the Aberdeen Invite Saturday afternoon.

The Arrows would take home 4th place in grand champion cheer with a team score of 207.50.

“Overall the girls had a good first showing and they were happy about their placing,” said Watertown Cheer Coach Malory Hoffmann.  “We have several areas where we can grow and make improvements.  Our stunting execution was a little shaky and we need to clean up our timing and motions.”

Arrow dance would place fourth in grand champion dance with a team score of 231.50.  Watertown would place second in pom (238) and sixth in hip hop (225).

“The girls came out with a lot of energy and did a good job executing pom and hip hop,” said Watertown Dance Coach Amber Thomas.  “The judges gave us feedback for both dances that we will work to fix in order to prepare for Watertown on Tuesday.”

Watertown will host an invite on Tuesday, September 1st at 5 p.m.
