BROOKINGS, S.D.–The Brookings County Sheriff’s Department has arrested two people in connection with burglaries that occurred in the Sinai and Aurora areas in late March.

Deputies secured a search warrant at a residence in the 500-block of 7th Avenue in Brookings early this month, and found meth, drug paraphernalia, evidence of drug distribution and many items that had been stolen in the burglaries.

At that point, arrest warrants were issued for 32 year-old Quentin Schmidt and 27 year-old Breanna Pearson, both of Brookings.

On Wednesday, the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office located and arrested the pair. They’re charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Maintaining a Place Where Drugs are Kept, Sold, or Used, Grand Theft and Burglary.

Schmidt and Pearson were booked into the Brookings County Jail with bond set at $10,000 cash only for each of them.
