Arrest made in Yankton murder

YANKTON, S.D.–Yankton Police Officers on Monday responded to a report of an assault in the 700 block of Walnut.
Upon arrival officers located a female victim who was seriously injured and rendered medical aid. Once the victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance, officers began investigating the incident. The female victim later died from her injuries.
In a release, Police Chief Jason Foote says during the investigation a person of interest was identified, 31-year-old Adrian Lund of Sioux City.
Foote says Lund was located and arrested. He has been charged with second degree homicide, aggravated domestic assault and possession of a controlled substance.
