Arlington man dies of injuries sustained in crash west of Erwin

ERWIN, S.D. – An Arlington man has died of injuries sustained in a one-vehicle crash August 29th, four miles west of Erwin in Kingsbury County.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol says 71 year-old Dean Royer was at the wheel of a Kenworth semi-truck and trailer that was eastbound on 200th Street when the passenger side tires went off the roadway.
The semi-truck and trailer went down an embankment and overturned onto the passenger side.
Royer was partially ejected. He was transported by ambulance to the DeSmet hospital and was later flown to a St. Paul, Minnesota hospital where he died several days later.
