Agencies respond to report of home explosion, fire near Humboldt

HARTFORD, S.D.–A home explosion and fire in west of Sioux Falls this morning.
The Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a home southwest of Humboldt just after 7 a.m. on a report of an explosion and subsequent fire.
Sheriff’s Department Captain Josh Phillips says there WERE people inside the home at the time.
They were treated at the scene, and then airlifted to a local hospital.
No other details on the extent of their injuries have been released.
Fire departments from Sioux Falls, Colton, Hartford and Humboldt all responded to that call.
