Active COVID-19 cases in Codington County drop to 25

WATERTOWN, S.D.—For the first time in more than a week, active cases of COVID-19 in Codington County declined.

The South Dakota Department of Health reports 25 active cases today. On Monday, the number was 32.

Active cases statewide dropped as well. They’re at 875 today.

Hospitalizations rose slightly to 64.

The death toll from COVID-19 in South Dakota is at 98. Over half the deaths, 59 to be exact, have been residents of Minnehaha County. Codington County hasn’t had any.
