PIERRE, S.D. – An Aberdeen man has been identified as the person who died in a one-vehicle crash that occurred late last month 18 miles north of Pierre.

The Highway Patrol says a car was southbound on South Dakota Highway 1804 when the vehicle entered the west ditch, re-entered the highway, entered the east ditch and rolled.

Twenty five year-old Wayde Wieczorek was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was transported by ambulance to the Pierre hospital and then airlifted to a Sioux Falls hospital where he died.
