AAA: South Dakota has most expensive gasoline in upper Midwest

WATERTOWN, S.D.–The American Automobile Association (AAA) says South Dakota has the most expensive gas in the Upper Midwest.

According to AAA, the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded in the state is $3.32 a gallon.

Comparatively speaking, North Dakota is at $3.21 a gallon, Minnesota $3.18 a gallon, Nebraska $3.22 a gallon, and Iowa $3.20 a gallon.

California has the nation’s most expensive gasoline at $4.62 a gallon.

AAA says the current nationwide average is $3.42 a gallon, compared to $2.11 at this time a year ago.
