A taste of winter in early April; Winter Storm Watch posted for northeast SD (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.—Winter is not done yet in eastern South Dakota.

A storm system will move in tonight through Thursday, brining with it a mixture of rain, snow and freezing rain.

Forecaster Troy Kleffman says the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for northeast South Dakota from Thursday morning into Friday morning…

Kleffman says more snow is expected in the James River Valley and central South Dakota….

The storm system will exit the region on Friday. Weekend highs are expected to be in the 40’s.
