WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) – Watertown Post 17 put down 15 hits in a 17-2 rout of Sioux Falls Post 15.

Watertown was propelled by a five-run second and eight-run fifth innings where the purple and gold batted around the order. Post 17 using this game as a tune-up entering into super regionals saw 15 players enter the batter’s box led by Bryce Holt with a three-hit, two RBI afternoon. In all, 10 Watertown players had at least one hit.

Andrew Czech got the start on the hill throwing one inning of work allowing Sioux Falls only runs of the afternoon. Kyle Karst did the brunt of the work on the mound going four innings while allowing three hits and fanning two. Jack Heesch tossed an inning striking out two.

Watertown wraps their year with a record of 21-35 and will be the 12 seed heading into the Class A Super Regionals this Friday and Saturday to face Sioux Falls East in a best of three series. 4 p.m. for game one on Friday, 10:30 a.m. on Saturday for game two.
