Man killed when vehicle crashes on Interstate 29 at South Shore exit

WATERTOWN, S.D.— One person was killed Tuesday night in a single vehicle accident on Interstate 29 at the South Shore exit.

 

The South Dakota Highway Patrol says a 39 year-old man was southbound when his vehicle left the road, went into the median, and then crashed into a pillar that supports the overpass at exit 193.

 

The man was not wearing a seatbelt, and was dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

 

The crash was reported at 6:31 p.m. Tuesday.
