Henry and Clark Fire Departments were called Wednesday (12/27) around 11am to a barn fire on north side of Highway 212 and 430th Avenue. When crews arrived the structure was fully engulfed. The departments went into defense mode to keep the fire from spreading to the home and other out buildings. Crews had to drill a hole in nearby Caseys Slough to pump water to fill their trucks and battled equipment freezing up due to the cold temperatures. The barn and machinery inside was a complete loss. There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is still under investigation. The Clark County Sheriff and Clark Ambulance were also on scene.
