MADISON, S.D. (DSUAthletics.com) – Dakota State (S.D.) released its 2020 baseball schedule, featuring a total of 22 home games at Flynn Field. The 2020 schedule also includes the Tucson (Ariz.) Invitational games and 24 North Star Athletic Association conference contests.

First-year head coach Derrion Hardie and his squad kick off their 2020 season with a three-game series at Kansas Wesleyan on Feb. 8-9 in Salina, Kan. The Trojans return to Kansas to play another three-game series at Manhattan Christian (Kan.) on Feb. 28-29.

DSU plays in the Tucson Invitational Games from March 7-15 in Tucson, Ariz. Schedule has not been announced.

The Trojans return to the Midwest region for their home opener on Mach 17, hosting rival Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.) at Flynn Field before starting their North Star conference play with a four-game series at Valley City State (N.D.) on March 21-22.

Dakota State returns home six-game home stand with a non-conference doubleheader versus Morningside (Iowa) on March 25 and a four-game NSAA series versus Waldorf (Iowa) on March 28-29.

The Trojans play a mid-week non-conference doubleheader at Dordt (Iowa) on March 31. DSU returns to Flynn Field for an eight-game home, hosting Mayville State (N.D.) in a four-game NSAA series on April 3-4, versus conference defending champion Bellevue (Neb.) in the North Star doubleheader on April 7 and a conference doubleheader versus Presentation (S.D.) on April 10.

DSU heads to Aberdeen for another NSAA doubleheader with Presentation on April 11 before returning home on April 14 in a non-conference doubleheader versus Dordt. The Trojans travel to Mitchell, S.D. on the following day on April 25 to take on Dakota Wesleyan in a doubleheader.

Dakota State plays its final home doubleheader of the season on April 18 versus Kansas Christian.

The Trojans conclude their regular-season schedule with seven straight games on the road, visiting Bellevue in the conference doubleheader on April 22 and a four-game North Star series at Viterbo (Wis.) on April 24-25. DSU plays at Minnesota-Morris in a single game on April 27.

Top six teams in the North Star Athletic Association conference standings qualify for the postseason tournament, held on May 1-4 in Valley City, N.D. The winner of the conference postseason tournament receives the North Star’s automatic bid to the NAIA Baseball National Tournament’s Opening Round on May 11-14.

The national tournament’s opening round winners move on to the Avista-NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho on May 22-29.

DSU also have their developmental team schedule, kicking off the season on March 7-15 in the Tucson Invitational games. The Trojans also will play at Dakota Wesleyan on March 18. DSU also play home-and-away series with Mount Marty, playing in Yankton on April 2 and in Madison on April 16. Dakota State’s developmental team will also play at Minnesota-Morris on April 27.

2019 DSU BASEBALL SCHEDULE
