Watertown School District Employee Charged with Embezzlement

A grand jury has indicted a 42 year Watertown woman on grand theft embezzlement charges.  The Codington County States Attorneys office says Denise Suzanne Trively embezzled over $100,000 from the Watertown School District between June 2012 and October 2013.
Trively was the benefits coordinator with the district and has been suspended since November.  She is to make her first court appearance on February 25th
Grand theft embezzlement is a class 3 felony, punishable by a maximum penalty of 15 years in the state penitentiary and a fine of $30,000.
The DCI, Attorney Generals office, and Watertown Police Department assisted in the case.
