SOUTH SHORE, S.D. (KWAT)—A man was killed and another received serious injuries Thursday morning in a head-on crash involving two pickup trucks just east of South Shore.
The State Patrol says a Chevy Silverado pickup headed westbound on South Dakota Highway 20 went across the centerline and collided with an eastbound Ford F-150 truck.
The 52 year-old driver of the Ford truck was not wearing a seatbelt, was partially ejected, and died at the scene.
The driver of the Chevy pickup, a 37 year-old man, had to be extricated from the wreckage and was taken to Prairie Lakes Hospital with serious, non life-threatening injuries. Charges against that driver are pending.
The names of those involved have not been released yet.
The crash was reported at 9:43 Thursday morning.
